Locked into that job for eight hours a day, five days a week — 40 hours a week with two weeks' vacation each year. For most of us, it is then that we really begin to question, “Is this all there is?
Even when people are difficult to love, even when we are hit with the hard news that a child’s circumstances may prove more challenging than that of the norm — we are still compelled to love, and love above all else.
As we enter this gift-giving Christmas season, consider the question, “What can we give to Almighty God both now and every day for the rest of our time on earth?”
When we aren’t regularly consuming God’s Word, we stop having a hunger for it. We can be starving for God’s Word but may not even realize it as we’ve gotten out of the habit of reading Scripture regularly.
“Do you know who I Am?” God asks. Let’s help them answer, “Yes, Lord.”
Many might ask, how can they respond with such an attitude when they’ve experienced so much abuse and trauma? The Gospel provides answers through the life and ministry of Jesus.
