And that is why Christian apologists have been stepping in for about two thousand years. Sometimes we think apologetics is a modern phenomenon, but Christians have been challenging conceptual issues lobbed against the truth of our faith since the start.
In the west, relativist freedom has gained a footing. Most of us know the usual argument which goes something like: ‘Freedom is relative to the person, so I am free to do whatever I want, and you are free to do whatever you want.’
Where does this innate, and universal, desire to know the truth come from?
Natural selection is great at explaining why small changes occur in organisms. What natural selection cannot account for is complex changes, like how a single-celled organism could evolve into a jellyfish, or monkey, or anything other than a single-celled organism.
