So here comes the holiday season. For me and my family, we start off with the gutbustingfootballworshiping Thanksgiving day where we single-handedly try to put an end to the existence of turkeys, then coast into Christmas where there is more food, crazy mall crowds, food, presents, did I mention food, and eating.
I was taken aback recently when I read a survey which revealed that over 60% of people who consider themselves Christians believe that the Holy Spirit is not a person. Rather in their view He … well I guess it wouldn’t be He … It is just a force or an extension of God.
Can you say weltanschauung? I knew you could! You gotta love that word. Of course when you hear it, you want to say "God bless you," but believe me, weltanschauung is a word with meanings that are nothing to sneeze at!
Five years is a long time...a long time, that is, when life is just plugging along at a mild and sometimes even monotonous manner. But when you measure time by times of shock and horror, five years can seem like yesterday.
I suppose the phrase ''it seemed like yesterday'' can be viewed as an overused cliché, but in this case it is absolutely accurate.
