1. Nothing is “out of control.”
No longer will I sit silently in the corner like a coward, hoping nobody sees or talks about me, while a false Christ and different gospel are perpetuated by people like Merritt.
I am a recovering perfectionist. The “recovering” bit is a recent development. This unwanted personality defect has invaded different parts of my life to varying degrees for as long as I can remember. Sports, my work, my appearance, my faith—I’ve struggled in all of these areas and more.
But there’s one prominent idea I keep coming across in Christian Integrationist circles ... In order to receive and enjoy God’s love, I must first believe I am worthy of his love.
