As believers, we are expected to perpetually pursue spiritual maturity, and that requires that we take time to evaluate where there is unaddressed sin preventing us from further intimacy with Christ and where we can minister better to those around us.
Cherish your staff, rather than overworking and under-recognizing them. Fight the urge to get swept up in the ministry patterns of a busy season and commit time to care for the individuals who make your ministry happen.
Whether that is reading for pleasure, going on walks and listening to your favorite music, or spending time with your family where your devices are inaccessible, it’s important to intentionally step away from ministry tasks and steward your mental health.
Keep in mind that as you may lose some staff members, this is also a key time to hire valuable talent as they leave other jobs. Competition for many roles will inevitably be higher after the holidays.
