'11.22.63' Season 1 Episode 2 Spoilers: What To Expect In 'The Kill Floor'
Hulu's latest small screen offering, "11.22.63," premiered last Monday, Feb. 15. The show was based on a mystery thriller novel of the same name by Stephen King. It revealed a character named Jake Epping (James Franco), a high school teacher who just emerged from a miserable marriage and was given the chance to go back in time and make some big changes.
He happens to have a friend, Al Templeton (Chris Cooper), a restaurant owner who has a big secret at the back room. Appropriately titled "The Rabbit Hole," the segment further divulged that Al knows a way to get into the past. The premise of the show's time travel is that anyone who enters the portal emerges at an exact hour on October 21, 1960. No matter how long the traveller stayed in the past, only two minutes will have passed when he returns to the present. Needless to say, the butterfly effect applies in "11.22.63."
Al, who is now too frail to carry out the mission, called on Jake to help him rewrite the past. With nothing to lose, Jake agreed to jump into the rabbit hole. Now in the '60s, viewers found Jake trying to blend in on the era where toilets are still segregated, men wore hats, and the streets riddled with Cadillacs.
To make his way, Jake stocked up on his wallet by gambling. After which, he heads down to Dallas where he wishes to find Lee Harvey Oswald, the man who killed the 35th President of the United States on Nov. 22, 1963.
According to the spoiler report from AVClub.com, the second episode "The Kill Floor" will find Jake doing some side mission which is to help a younger version of a janitor (Leon Rippy) whom he knows in the future. The media outlet said that there will be some big changes in this segment from King's novel as a minor character from the book, Bill Turcotte (George McKay), becomes Jake's trusty companion.
"11.22.63" Episode 2 "The Kill Floor" premieres this Monday, Feb. 22.
