Described 'one man’s socialism' as 'another person’s neighborliness'

In a video published on YouTube documenting Walz’s appearance on a “White Dudes For Harris” fundraising call last week, before he joined the ticket as Harris’ running mate, the Minnesota governor instructed supporters to “never shy away from your progressive values.”

According to Walz, “One person’s socialism is another person’s neighborliness.” 

Walz’s remarks suggest a willingness to embrace the “socialism” label, which has often been used as a line of attack by Republicans against Democrats.

The existence of a group called “White Dudes For Harris” illustrates that the Harris campaign intends to lean heavily on the idea of identity politics heading into the election.
