Ram’s receiver Cooper Kupp, who took home the 2021 NFL Offensive Player of the Year Award, said during the post-game trophy ceremony that he doesn’t “feel deserving" of being named Super Bowl LVI MVP.

“God is just so good,” he said.

“I’m so thankful for everyone that’s been in my life that’s pushed me.”

In a post-game press conference, Kupp explained that he received a vision from God after the Rams lost Super Bowl LIII in 2019 that his team would not only make it back to the big game but be victorious.

“[F]rom the moment this postseason started, there was just a belief every game that it was written already,” Kupp said. “It was written already and I just got to play free knowing that I got to play from victory, not for victory. I got to play in a place where I was validated not from anything that happened on the field but because of my worth in God and my Father.”
