The record is second only to the recent mega million jackpot of $656 million that garnered attention this past March. Chaos ensued after the winning numbers were announced and some people falsely claimed to news reporters that they had a winning ticket.

The final jackpot had reached over $650 million after a mass amount of ticket sales. Three winners were announced during a Saturday drawing, one each in Marlyand, Kentucky and Illinois.
Some internet users were already buzzing about who the $425 million jackpot should go to.
"I hope a group of soon-to-be unemployed Hostess folks win this," one user wrote, speaking about the recent shut down of the Hostess company following a strike by the labor union. A number of rumors have been sparked over who might consider buying out the Twinkie.
