Transgender 'mermaid queen-king' wants to abolish prisons

In Tuesday’s DNC LGBTQ Caucus meeting, one panelist identified as J Mai, who claims to be a “nonbinary/gender transcendent mermaid Queen-King,” called for the abolition of police, prisons and the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

“Why can’t folks imagine a world without the cops?” the panelist asked. “Why can’t folks imagine a world without prisons? Why can’t people expand their imaginations to include community care, to include an abolitionist future? I am talking about for-real, for-real abolition, not just dumbed-down DNC version abolition.”

“We need folks to dream bigger because your fear of losing power and your privilege is holding all of us back from freedom. Your desire to be a savior and to toe party lines is just killing black, trans women.”

According to Fox News’ Tucker Carlson, J Mai’s online biography at Wake Forrest University describes the school’s LGBTQ+ Center graduate assistant as a "Black-Vietnamese, transgender nonbinary/gender transcendent mermaid Queen-King currently living out their ever-evolving truths in Winston-Salem."
