Despite preparing for large protests and possible violence, little anti-Biden sentiment was on display in Washington, due in part to the heightened security measures.

Another factor, according to National Public Radio, was that far-left and far-right groups opted to cancel their planned demonstrations in response to the security measures.

“DO NOT GO ANYWHERE NEAR DC TOMORROW … DO NOT GO TO ANY STATE CAPITOLS TOMORROW,” tweeted Nicholas J. Fuentes, a far-right activist.

“They are not messing around with this inauguration and they are desperate for an excuse to make an example out of somebody. STAY HOME!”

Some minor demonstrations did occur, however. For example, a few Trump supporters peacefully demonstrated outside Nebraska’s state capitol building, carrying flags.

Outside of the capitol building in Albany, New York, a lone Trump supporter named Mark Leggiero wore a Trump shirt and waved a flag in support of the former president.
