The New York Times published a story on Sunday, the first of a series on Trump’s tax returns, which revealed, among other things, that Trump paid $750 in income taxes in 2016.
When Chris Wallace asked Trump if the story was true, the president denied the veracity of the story and responded by saying that he paid “millions of dollars in income taxes.”

Biden heckled the president multiple times, saying, “Show us your tax return,” to which Trump responded by saying, “You’ll see it as soon as it's finished.”
Later, Trump blamed Biden for passing a tax law “that gave us all these privileges” for private developers and businessmen, allowing them to pay fewer taxes.
“He does take advantage of the tax code,” said Biden, adding that if elected he will “eliminate the Trump tax cuts” and “make sure that we invest in the people who in fact need the help.”
