5. Boys and Girls Clubs of America
The Boys and Girls Clubs of America, which works to “enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens,” is doubling all donations in honor of Giving Tuesday. The gift matching initiative will last through Dec. 31.
One of BGCA’s partner organizations, Michaels, is providing the funds necessary to match the donations. Another partner organization, Wayback Burgers, is celebrating Giving Tuesday by donating 10% of its sales on Dec. 1 to the national organization.
“We embrace and support the mission of Boys & Girls Clubs of America all year long. But Giving Tuesday is a major fundraiser for us, and we are excited to invite our guests to join us in the giving. Ten percent of all sales will go directly to the children at the Clubs,” said Patrick Conlin, president of Wayback Burgers.
