Kentucky megachurch, Kroger team up to distribute chicken

Volunteers showed up at Southeast Christian Church’s Blankenbaker Parkway campus on Sunday. Instead of listening to a sermon, they unloaded 40,000 pounds of chicken donated by the grocery store chain Kroger.

The donated meat will be distributed to homeless shelters and food pantries throughout Kentucky and southern Indiana, reports WLKY.

On Monday, all seven Southeast Christian Church’s campuses launched donation drives for people to donate spare face masks, gloves, hand sanitizers, hygiene items and food items such as canned foods, pasta, rice, and peanut butter, according to WDRB.
