Credit :

Parents want to give their children the world, and the first place they can start is by equipping them with helpful Bible verses to guide them through life. Here are seven Bible passages that parents can give their children.

1) Genesis 33:5
"Then Esau looked up and saw the women and children. 'Who are these with you?' he asked. Jacob answered, 'They are the children God has graciously given your servant.'"

Children are a gracious gift from God.

2) 2 Timothy 3:14-15
"But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus."

Parents want their children to learn from a young age the importance of knowing the Holy Scripture.

3) Matthew 18:10
"See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father in heaven."

Children are to be appreciated and adored, for they are loved by God.

4) Isaiah 54:13
"All your children will be taught by the Lord, and great will be their peace."

Following God brings peace.

5) 1 Timothy 4:12
"Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity."

Children can set an example for others by acting virtuously.

6) Deuteronomy 6:6-7
"These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up."

Christians should pass God's commandments down through generations.

7) Proverbs 1:8-9
"Listen, my son, to your father's instruction and do not forsake your mother's teaching. They are a garland to grace your head and a chain to adorn your neck."

Children must respect the teaching of their parents.
