Adam Levine Slams Hollywood Club, Twitter Feud Ensues

Adam Levine has made a surprising enemy of West Hollywood's nightclub The Roxy this week.

The front man for Maroon 5 and mentor on "The Voice" cited the club for snubbing he and his band by not providing them with a dressing room.

"We used to open for Michelle Branch," Levine explained during Monday night's episode of "The Voice."

"I remember we opened for her at the Roxy, and they didn't even give us a dressing room," said the singer. "I hate the Roxy. I'll never play there again."

Levine dismissed anyone trying to defend the nightclub, and added, "Oh the Roxy is horrible. Don't ever go there. They screwed us over, and now they're paying for it."

The star's candid remarks did not go unnoticed by the Roxy, who reacted with a sense of humor.

"Ummm, what was that about," the club wrote on their Twitter account.

Then the Sunset Strip club posted in a picture to Twitter including the marquee, reading, "Adam Levine your dressing room is ready."

The Roxy reportedly added, "Bands need dressing rooms #Notetoself," but the tweet has since been deleted, according to The Los Angeles Times.

After the episode of "The Voice," Michelle Branch offered an explanation behind Levine's claims about the Roxy.

"I'm sure it wasn't the Roxy's fault," the singer told The Hollywood Reporter. "Most likely my band was given one room and I was given the other per my contract."

Moreover, the club's owner Nic Adler said the Roxy never "screwed over" Levine or Maroon 5.

"Maroon 5 played the Roxy at least five times," said the Roxy's owner, according to Yahoo News. "I use Maroon 5 as an example of a hard-working band that played the Sunset Strip and played the clubs and blew up. And so when he said that … you know, the Roxy has no control over dressing rooms."

Adler explained that opening acts as well as the Roxy are "at the mercy of the headliner," in this case Branch, and that Levine's claims were unfounded.

"For a band to think dressing rooms define how we treat bands is crazy," he noted.

Meanwhile, Levine has not commented on the club further.

"Huge night on @NBCTheVoice," the singer wrote on Twitter Tuesday. "So incredibly proud of @MelanieLBBH and @amanda_brown!!! #TeamAdam."
