'Agent Carter' Season 2 Spoilers: Frost Becomes a Villain
After a successful first season, the series "Agent Carter" is expected to delve deeper into its characters' lives when it returns in a few days.
The executive producers of the series, Tara Butters and Michele Fazekas, recently spoke to Entertainment Weekly about some interesting happenings in the season to come. They explained that the upcoming episodes will show more on Jason Wilkes and Whitney Frost.
The previous season ended with Peggy's romantic interest, Wilkes, seemingly meeting his end. However, Butters recently shared some hints of his return to the second season of "Agent Carter. She said, "It's probably not a surprise that we haven't seen the last of Wilkes. But the larger issue is, what happened to him now that he has been exposed to Zero Matter? His fate is a large part of what drives Peggy in the second season, as she feels responsible for putting him in harm's way."

She also explained that he will play a vital role in helping Peggy find out information about Zero Matter. However, another character's involvement with Zero Matter is also expected to cause Peggy some trouble in the episodes to come.
According to Fazekas, Whitney Frost will transform into the villain Madame Masue because of Zero Matter. He said, "While Wilkes' exposure to Zero Matter is treated as an affliction, Whitney sees it as a gift. For the first time, she feels that she can exert her own power, rather than operate from behind the scenes through her husband."
With that, Peggy will have to do all she can to gain more knowledge about the Zero Matter. However, it was revealed that the third episode of the series, titled "Better Angels," will have Peggy in trouble at work for her quest for information regarding the matter.
"Agent Carter" season 2 will premiere on ABC this Jan. 26.
