'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' Season 3 Spoilers: Could There Still Be A Future For Skye And Ward?
Considering that former S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Grant Ward's (Brett Dalton) body has been possessed by an Inhuman slug creature and Skye (Chloe Bennet) has changed into an Inhuman and discovered her real identity, it's difficult to imagine that the two could ever have a future together.
"Now she's not Skye and he's not Ward," "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. executive producer Jed Whedon told Entertainment Weekly.
But to the excitement of SkyeWard fans and the surprise of many, Whedon also said, "I feel like the chances are greater than ever."

The "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." showrunner explained, "[Ward] has changed, but just as we saw with Will, there was still some of Will left in him." He added: "They're both altered humans at this point. I don't know."
Since the first season of the Marvel Comics-based TV series, Skye has transformed into an Inhuman, met her real parents, and discovered her true identity as Daisy Johnson. Meanwhile, Ward was revealed to be a member of Hydra. He assassinated Agent Coulson's (Clark Gregg) new love Rosalind Price (Constance Zimmer) and was, in turn, killed by Coulson before being inhabited by an Inhuman.
Given these circumstances, it seems unlikely that there could be hope for a future SkyeWard relationship.
But because Skye, now Daisy, was such a big part of Ward's life, is it possible that memories of her could help draw him out of his current existence? "It could be, that's a good theory," Whedon admitted, adding, "We know that Will's memories lived on, so some of that could carry."
"As I'm sure you have guessed, it's going to get complicated," Whedon warned. "Spoiler alert, it's going to get complicated."
The eleventh episode of "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." Season 3 is set to air on March 8, 2016 on ABC.
