Amy's Baking Company Getting Its Own Reality TV Show?

The owners of Amy's Baking Company are hoping that all the attention they've received will translate into a new business opportunity: their very own reality TV show. Amy and Samy Bouzaglo are currently evaluating their options for producing and starring in their own show.

"Right now Cineflix is the most serious production company trying to secure Amy and Samy. They want to develop a show around their restaurant and their bad behavior. Amy and Samy are all for it because they feel like it's the only way to keep their restaurant open," a source told Radar Online.

The couple was struggling with their restaurant when they asked for Gordon Ramsay's help and appeared on "Kitchen Nightmares." That turned into a near disaster when Ramsey left the show early and said he could do nothing to help the couple with their issues.

People immediately took to Twitter, Yelp, Reddit and Facebook to find out more information about the couple and the restaurant, as well as leave comments about the behavior seen on the show. Amy and Samy claimed that they were under attack from numerous people and wound up closing the restaurant for a few days until things settled down.

They recently held a Grand Re-Opening, which they claimed was well attended, but at least one reporter said that the restaurant was quite empty.

"Never mind the slow, inexperienced staff, the tense atmosphere in the restaurant and the empty tables which made me wonder where the publicized 1,000 reservations were on a Friday night," journalist Hayley Ringle wrote in The Phoenix Business Journal.

Ringle described her night at the restaurant, which included being served three drinks with flies in them, then being asked to leave the restaurant by an agitated Samy.

"But no doubt, you will be seeing Amy and Samy on TV again sometime in the future," the source insisted. "They need to generate money and publicity to keep their business going, otherwise customers just dropping in because of their 'Kitchen Nightmares' appearance will fizzle and their restaurant will go under."
