Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt Visit the White House
While visiting Washington, D.C., Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie paid a visit to President Obama at the White House on Wednesday.
Angelina Jolie, who made her directorial debut in "In the Land of Blood and Honey," premiered the film at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Tuesday night, escorted by longtime partner, Brad Pitt.
The couple share six children and juggle busy Hollywood careers, but made time to discuss topics such as mass atrocities and sexual violence against women with the chief executive.

The Associated Press reported that Jolie and Pitt were spotted by photographers while waiting in the Oval Office for Obama, who was preparing for a trip to Chicago.
Very active in international affairs and humanitarian work, the Hollywood couple has met with the president before. In 2009, Jolie and Pitt met Obama to discuss New Orleans' Ninth Ward following Hurricane Katrina.
Pitt and Jolie not only spoke with Obama about humanitarian affairs, but also met with CIA Director David Pataeus at the agency's headquarters during their stay in D.C.
In 2001, Jolie was named a United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Goodwill Ambassador and has used her public profile to promote humanitarian causes ever since.
Jolie's film, "In the Land of Blood and Honey," covered the atrocities of the Bosnian War. The actress revealed that her inspiration from the film came from the eye-opening experiences she has had while visiting refugee camps around the world.
The romantic drama follows two lovers who are on opposing sides during the brutal war in Bosnia. The film stars Zana Marjanovic, Goran Kostic, and Rade Serbedzija.
Still showing in theaters, "In the Land of Blood and Honey" has earned Jolie positive critical acclaim, as well as the praise of her father, actor Jon Voight. The iconic actress is reportedly interested in furthering her career as director following the film's success.
