Anna Jorgenson to Fight School After Male Teacher Spanks Daughter (PHOTO, VIDEO)
Anna Jorgenson has expressed her fury after a male Texas school vice principal spanked her daughter as a punishment, leaving her "bruised" and "blistered."
Springtown High School sophomore student Taylor Santos was spanked by the school's male vice principal after she had been accused of allowing another student to copy her work.
Santos was originally given a two day in-school suspension for cheating, even though the student has said that she had no knowledge of anyone copying her work, according to WFAA. However, after one day of the two day punishment Santos opted to be paddled rather than miss a second day of classes. But her decision left her in severe pain.

Under Texas law corporate punishment is still allowed, like 18 other states in the U.S. However, Sprintown High School has a policy that the teacher administering the spanking must the same sex as the student being disciplined.
The student's mother said, "I knew school policy was females swatted females, and males swatted males. If Taylor wanted that, I said I would be fine."
However, following the beating the mother saw the marks on her daughter's bottom, and found out that they had been caused by a male teacher. She described her daughter's bottom as covered in bruises and "fire engine red," according to Mail Online.
She said, "It looked almost like it had been burned and blistered, it was so bad."
The mother has taken photos as evidence of the severe beating. Forty-eight hours after the punishment the student still says she has welts.
The mother has complained to the school's vice principal, but he defended his actions. Jorgenson said, "He told me this was normal for her bottom to look like this after receiving swats, and that he was not aware of the school policy that females swat females. He used too much force."
As a result of the complaint WFAA has reported that Springtown ISD Superintendent Mike Kelley plans to ask the school board to abolish the policy of the teacher needing to be the same sex as the student being punished. Jorgenson has expressed her anger at the decision and says she will be attending the school board meeting to vote against the change in policy.
"Men are too big and strong to be hitting 96-pound girls," the mother said.
