Ardic Technology's 65-Inch Android Tablet (VIDEO)

Turkish startup company Ardic Technology developed the unthinkable: a 65-inch Android tablet device.

The tablet currently stands as the world's largest Android tablet. Ardic's invention features a 1080p touch-screen. Users can perform basic "pinch" and "zoom" actions with the device.

The massive Android tablet is powered by an Nvidia's Tegra 2 SoC, and includes 1 GB of RAM, 16 GB of flash memory, dual cameras, HDMI, USB, microSD and 3G and WiFi connectivity. The dock for the tablet enables instant connectivity with the Original Equipment Manufacturer TV.

The tablet also has HDMI support for audio and video; along with USB ports for touch, input is also enabled.

"The Turkish company is in talks with education and enterprise customers and hopes to bring this setup to production as a more power- and cost-efficient smart board alternative. The company eventually hopes to offer displays in a variety of sizes, that will all be powered by a pocketable device, such as a smartphone,” said technology website Engadget.

Some forum users for Engadget have already expressed their thoughts on the mammoth tablet.

User Alex Powell said the tablet could create potential problems for the home and school setting: "I can't see this being particularly usable in a home-entertainment/living room setting, but its uses for education (classroom setting) meetings seems to stand right out (like glorified smartboards)."

User Spede offered a more comical view on how the device could be handled: "Nice carry-around model. Very practical."

The company, through its YouTube channel, posted the related video footage below:
