'Arrow' Season 2 Spoilers: Which Character 'Will Not See' Season 3 After Finale?
"Arrow" returns to The CW this week with the last episode in season two, entitled "Unthinkable."
As fans gear up for the season finale, executive producer Marc Guggenheim opened up about "Unthinkable" as well as the television series' upcoming third season. The EP explained that "Arrow" showrunners are always trying to up the ante and top themselves with each episode.
"It's exciting because we're trying some very emotionally complex stuff along with some stunts and sequences that are the biggest we've ever done on the show," he told TVLine this week.
Furthermore, Guggenheim hinted that one character may not make it to season three following Wednesday's finale.
"The thing about 'Arrow' is, we've shown a willingness to lose characters when a lot of other shows might keep them around," he told TVLine. "Let me put it this way … There's one character who you will not be seeing at the start of season three."
Meanwhile, another "Arrow" executive producer Andrew Kreisberg recently warned fans that "all hell is going to break loose in the city" during the May 14 finale, according to Zap2It. Also, as previously reported, Nyssa al Ghul will lead the League of Assassins in combating Slade's army while the fate of Starling City hangs in the balance in culmination of season two. When it all happens in the finale, "It's the Arrow, Canary, Roy and the League of the Assassins against Slade and his mirakuru army for the city," Kreisberg said.
"It's f------ insane," the producer added.
"Arrow" airs on The CW Wednesdays at 8 p.m. EST. The synopsis for "Unthinkable" is as follows: "Season 2 ends with Slade kidnapping and threatening to kill another person in Oliver's life, which forces Oliver to decide whether he is a killer or a hero. Meanwhile, Diggle takes on Amanda; and Thea turns to Roy in a time of need."
