According to TV Insider, the executive producer of the series "Arrow" shared his excitement for the upcoming crossover. Marc Guggenheim stated, "We're not only thrilled to be further expanding our DC television universe by bringing in the live-action incarnation of the CW Seed hit 'Vixen,' we're also immensely excited that Megalyn will be revisiting her role of Mari McCabe."

Fans are expecting that her character will be helping Oliver fight Damien Darhk in the upcoming season. The previous episode of the season showed that the superheroes are in dire need of help since it was revealed that H.I.V.E. is capable of destroying all of Star City.

However, fans will have to wait until the return of the season to see what will happen to the superheroes. Meanwhile, the star of "Arrow," Stephen Amell, hinted that the fifth season of the series could be the last.

According to the Inquisitr, he stated, "We were always built to be a five year show, which is a very courageous thing to plan for when you're just in the pilot stages of something."

"Arrow" is expected to return to the small screens on Jan. 20, 2016.
