Atlanta Falcons vs Carolina Panthers Live Stream, Preview: Can the Falcons End the Panthers' Unbeaten Run?
The Atlanta Falcons and the Carolina Panthers were the hottest teams in the NFL for about six weeks, with both teams enjoying their undefeated runs during that time. But at this point in the season, one team has sustained its run while the other is struggling.
This weekend's matchup between the still undefeated Panthers against the visibly struggling Falcons may have been quite an exciting one only if the Falcons were able to sustain their own run. At 12-0, the Panthers have secured the NFC South top spot, as well as the home court advantage for the entirety of the NFC playoffs.
The Falcons, meanwhile, are looking like a completely different team right now. The last time they won a game was almost three months ago, when they trumped the Titans. Now they're one of the coldest teams in the league, having lost five games in a row. So winning against an undefeated team in the Panthers means they'll have to literally pull off a miracle.
The Panthers carry an advantage against the Falcons heading into the game, but it's not about their records, but the fact that the former has won against the latter in four of their last five games. It is also worthy of mention that the Falcons actually had a five-game winning streak against the same team in the past.
The most intriguing question now is if the Falcons can actually summon the kind of performances they had early in the season to bring down the mighty Panthers. Will this game be the Panthers' first-ever defeat or will they reach the 13-0 and become the ninth team in the history of the league to do so?
