'Attack on Titan' Chapter 79 Predictions: Reiner Finally Dies?

Following the cliff-hangers that disappointed some fans in the previous chapter, discussions on spoilers and predictions point to the death of one character in "Attack on Titan."

A lot of fans commented that chapter 78 was too slow-paced and the interest of readers is slowly going down the drain. Since there have been numerous cliff-hangers and no actual deaths in the chapter, fans are predicting that Reiner may finally see his end in chapter 79.

It is unclear how Reiner and Bertolt will come out of the battle victorious, despite the latter's transformation and determination to take down anyone who gets in his way. Reiner has also just returned to the battlefield and fans are getting frustrated since there has been no death in the previous chapters.

Some fans speculate that Eren will go around the Colossal Titan's feet and make him go off-balance. The Titan's fall doesn't end with him on the ground as some readers suggest that he should fall on Reiner, finally ending his life.

On the other hand, some fans speculate that Reiner may change his mind and switch sides in the heat of the battle. As the cliff-hanger in chapter 78 suggests, wherein Reiner asks for some time off the battle, he may realize that he will have to turn tables so he can save his own life.

Reiner's confusion is said to place a huge threat in the face of Bertolt. If he suddenly comes in between Bertolt and Eren, a lot of twists could happen and might even lead to the total destruction of Bertolt's plan.

Other rumors suggest that the chapter won't arrive until March 8, giving fans more time to speculate and predict what will happen to Eren in the upcoming chapter and if Reiner or Bertolt will finally die.

"Attack on Titan" or "Shingeki no Kyojin" is a hit Japanese manga series by Hajime Isayama, and as of mid-2015, the manga has seen over 52 million copies printed, marking another successful release by the Japanese art industry.
