'Attack On Titan' Season 3 Premiere Details Revealed

It's time to put on those 3D maneuver gears and Survey Corps cloaks because "Attack on Titan" Season 3 finally has a release date. In sharp contrast to the agonizing wait for season 2, the massively popular action-adventure anime is now slated to be released in the summer 2018.

The release details were announced last weekend at the Attack on Titan Reading & Live Event Orchestra performance. The anime's official website was later updated to give fans a heads up about season three.

The third season of the massively popular post-apocalyptic anime will drop on July of 2018. This will be preceded by the release of a new compilation film dubbed "The Roar of Awakening" on Jan. 13, 2018. Wit Studio has yet to reveal the exact dates but fans can expect more information to be disclosed as 2017 draws to a close.

The third season will likely tackle the events of The Uprising Arc and possibly even The Return to Shingashina following the events that transpired in "Attack on Titan" Season 2.

While a July release date seems to be great news for many fans, some are a bit concerned that "Attack on Titan" will once again go into the proverbial rabbit hole of delays. This was mainly due to the fact that when a third season was confirmed earlier this year, sites like Funimation led fans to believe Attack on Titan would return in April 2018.

However, there are still fans who are pushing back against these assumptions, possibly assuring both the skeptics as well as themselves that Wit Studio wants to shed its reputation for making fans wait for so long. With a July 2018 release date, the studio also has a chance to lengthen the episode order so as to not repeat the calls for boycott after it was revealed that season 2 will only get total of 12 episodes.
