'Avatar 2' Rumors: Jake Sully and Neytiri May Be Torn Apart by War

The second "Avatar" movie will feature a dark prison theme and a heartbreaking phase for Jake Sully and Neytiri. Rumor has it that the lovers might be torn apart by war and they will be forced to go their separate ways in "Avatar 2," according to Realty Today.

Another speculation that has surfaced is about Stephen Lang's return in "Avatar 2." The plot of the sequel will also revolve around his survival, the report adds.

The first "Avatar" film broke records due to its stunning graphics and enthralling story line, and the epic success of the movie gave birth to "Avatar 2." The sequel was originally set to be released in 2014, but the schedule was postponed to December 2016. Now, the final release of the movie will be in 2017, Movie Pilot reports.

"Avatar" director James Cameron revealed that the second installment of the film will feature new places that will leave viewers in awe. "Avatar 2" settings will include the oceans of Pandora. The subsequent movies will explore the nearby moons, the report details.

The exciting revelations do not stop there. Cameron also said the "Avatar" production team is working on underwater scenes. There will also be more focus on Na'vi cultures. Plus, producer Jon Landau said humans will begin entering Pandora once again.

In addition, there are rumors saying Sigourney Weaver's character Dr. Grace Augustine will return to "Avatar 2." Her death was one of the highlights of the movie, but the sequel will explore the story around her rebirth.

"Avatar 2" is still is production, and the film's third and fourth installments are also being worked on simultaneously. The second sequel will premiere on Dec. 25, 2017.
