X-Men: Days of Future Past star Hugh Jackman recently discussed "The Avengers 2" and admitted that he would love to be a part of the film's cast in future installments.

In a short interview with IGN.com, the actor discussed how Wolverine would fit into the team.

"I would love to see him as part of The Avengers" said Jackman. "Because there's a great dysfunction among that team, and I think Wolverine would fit right into that. He'd like that."

He also talked about who his character would bump heads most with.

"There's no doubt he's get in a fight with Hulk at some point. Those two bad, rage-filled characters are going to square off at some point. It would be quite fun. I don't know how much fun to shoot it would be because I'm sure I'd be on the worst end of it, but hey, he can heal."

There is also the possibility of another infamous Marvel hero appearing in a future Avengers film.

Avi Arad, a producer on the Amazing Spider-Man and longtime Marvel partner, recently discussed the possibility of this happening and what it would take for Disney, who owns Marvel, and Sony, who owns the movie rights to Spider-Man, to collaborate on a project that features all the heroes.

"I think there's some stories [from the comics] that would fit beautifully into a cross [over]," said Arad to reporters at an "Amazing Spider-Man 2" press junket last week. "If we want to do that, it has to be a story that is absolutely centered on Spider-Man. We cannot become a second banana to any other [heroes] out there because [Spider-Man] is the king."

Arad stressed the importance of Spider-Man in today's culture and how Peter Parker lives in all of us. For these reasons, it just wouldn't do the character justice to give him a side role in an Avengers film, according to the producer.

"That's my opinion," he said. "The studio may disagree with me, some fans disagree with me, but I don't care. There are certain stories [in the comics] about Spider-Man mixed up with another [hero's] universe that are incredible."
