Now, Curry is amazed that lines of people are purchasing her cookbook nationwide. In a world where people are spending more time on social media than with their families, she hopes that her new cookbook can reinforce some traditional values by bringing families together over a home-cooked meal.

More than just pictures and recipes, her new cookbook features personal stories about the Curry family which consist of more than just Curry and her NBA star husband, but also includes their two daughters, Riley, 4, and Ryan, 1. It was Curry's faith that helped her balance being a good wife, mother and career woman pursuing the dream of publishing her first cookbook.

"I actually wrote the book myself, did all of my food styling and cooked dishes for the photos as well. For me, trying to balance it all was really, really hard," she said. "I had just started writing the book when she (Ryan) was a few months old. I had to lean on God for guidance and just know that the end would be full of rewards for me."

To some, it might appear as though Curry has it all — the seemingly perfect family and career. But she's had to overcome her share of obstacles, including enduring negative comments lobbed at her on social media by critics who criticize her values or question if her success has anything to do with her famous husband.

While Curry will be the first to admit that she is less than perfect when handling critics, she does believe it's best to remember God in those heated moments.

"Remember who we're representing," she told CP. "Obviously we all sin and we're going to have moments when we're not 100 percent ourselves. But the Bible says come as you are, and so I think that's important to remember through it all."

With all of the blessings that are coming her way and more than enough business ventures to keep her busy, Curry believes people could experience their dreams coming true in the same way when they stay true to themselves and their faith.

"When you're really focused on God and your relationship with God and being very open and honest with yourself, you can talk to Him whenever you want," she said. "Keep pushing forward. It always seems like you may think you know what's right for you, but [God] truly knows what's right for you.

"Things happen when they're supposed to happen. When it finally does happen you'll look back and you'll know why."
