Ben Affleck Hands Marked for Luck, Covered in Scribbles (VIDEO)

Ben Affleck may be an award-winning director in Hollywood, but at home he is just a regular dad, and he has the evidence to prove it - on his hands.

It seems that not too many Hollywood A-listers would be keen to have their hands scribbled all over, especially when they will be attending a red carpet event later on in the evening. But when Ben Affleck appeared on stage during the Critic's Choice Movie Awards, he proved to be an exception to any ordinary Hollywood star, and showed off his more everyday fatherly side.

While stepping on stage to accept his award for Best Director and Best Film, the "Argo" star revealed a handful of scribbles. The scribbles were not exactly an award-wining speech either. Instead, Affleck's hands were covered in illegible markings that were presumably made by a child.

Affleck has three children, the third a son who he just welcomed in to the world last February with wife, Jennifer Garner. The Hollywood couple has been married since 2005 and also share two daughters, Violet and Seraphina.

It was unclear whose handywork it was on the actor's hands during the award ceremony, but Affleck mentioned later in his speech that one of his daughter's had marked him up for good luck.

While accepting his award, the actor joked about his Oscar snub. Despite his film being named for seven awards, Affleck was left off of the Oscar ballot.

"I would like to thank the Academy. I'm kidding, I'm kidding," the actor said on stage. "This is the one that counts. No, I do want to thank the Broadcast Film Critics Association."

"It is very, very cool for me," the actor added. "There was a time when the Ben Affleck's Critics' Award was a Saturday Night Live sketch."

Fans of the actor were much less forgiving of the Oscars.

"It is a disgrace that the Oscars have snubbed Ben," one user wrote on the Mail Online wall. "Argo was the best film this year, and he certainly should have picked up an Oscar for Best Director, if nothing else. Travesty."
