BET to Air 10th 'Celebration of Gospel'
The BET cable network will be airing this Sunday its tenth annual "Celebration of Gospel" special, featuring "uplifting performances, powerful duets and soulful choirs."
Taped live at the Orpheum Theater in Los Angeles last month and hosted by funnyman Steve Harvey, the tenth anniversary special will air at 8 p.m. and include performances and message segments by both mainstream and gospel greats including BeBe and CeCe Winans, Fred Hammond, Donnie McClurkin, Pastor Shirley Caesar, Marvin Sapp, James Fortune & FIYA, Tye Tribbett & Greater Anointing, and The City of Refuge P.S.A.L.M.S. Choir.
Additionally, BET Sunday Best winner Y'Anna Crawley will be featured together with Dr. Bobby Jones and the Nashville Super Choir.
"Throughout the evening a chorus of gifted gospel and mainstream artists will bless the stage," organizers say.
This year's Celebration of Gospel was produced by Stephen Hill, BET president of Music Programming & Specials; Lynne Harris Taylor, BET Vice President of Specials; and Geovanni Brewer, executive producer.
