'Better Call Saul' Season 2 News, Spoilers: 'Breaking Bad' Character Dishes On Surprise Return
Hector Salamanca (Mark Margolis), the beloved villain from "Breaking Bad," made a surprise cameo in Monday's episode of "Better Call Saul."
Five episodes into the new season, AMC's popular "Breaking Bad" spinoff/prequel has already seen cameos from "Breaking Bad" characters Ken (Kyle Bornheimer), Lawson (Jim Beaver), and Tuco Salamanca (Raymond Cruz). The guest star streak reached a high note in Monday's "Rebecca," when Hector, a fan favorite from "Breaking Bad," sidled up to Mike (Jonathan Banks) as the private investigator/hitman sat in a diner.
The unexpected visit came at the tail end of an episode that focused mostly on Kim (Rhea Seehorn) and her struggles at Hamlin, Hamlin & McGill. Hector "Tio" Salamanca was there to discuss his nephew Tuco's impending sentencing and left Mike with the promise of a cash reward and a veiled threat.

Margolis recently spoke to Entertainment Weekly about returning to the "Breaking Bad" universe and his character's future in "Better Call Saul."
When asked about the experience of slipping back into his character, the veteran actor said, "It wasn't surreal, I didn't slip right back into it, and it didn't feel like the same guy."
According to Margolis, who said that the younger and older versions of Tio seem to be two different people: "I love the idea that this guy can be a bit smoother, a bit more vibrant, a bit more thoughtful. He has multiple choices that Tio in the wheelchair never had."
Though the actor admitted that he is being kept in the dark about his character's future in "Better Call Saul," he told EW: "I assume later [co-creator Vince Gilligan] will just have me fall on my face having a shaking stroke, and that will be me in the wheelchair."
"I hope they keep me going for awhile, but I have no idea," Margolis told The Hollywood Reporter.
Meanwhile, AMC has just renewed "Better Call Saul" for a 10-episode third season, Deadline has learned.
In the next episode, titled "Bali Ha'i," Jimmy will seek solace in familiarity, Kim will be the recipient of a life-altering proposal, and Mike will be pushed to his limit.
"Better Call Saul" airs Mondays at 10 p.m. ET on AMC.
