'Better Call Saul' Season 2 News, Spoilers: Kim Loves Jimmy 'All-Inclusive,' Rhea Seehorn Says
The second season of AMC's popular crime drama "Better Call Saul," a spin-off/prequel of the cult favorite "Breaking Bad," has seen the deepening of the relationship between Jimmy McGill (Bob Odenkirk) and his longtime friend Kim (Rhea Seehorn).
Seehorn recently sat down with The Hollywood Reporter (THR) to talk about the relationship between Kim and Jimmy and how she feels about her friend's emerging alter ego (i.e., the flamboyant Saul Goodman persona who takes pride in being bad).
"The weird, romantic sexiness that they have with each other is between the lines; it's intangible as only a 10-year-plus relationship with two loner-strange-outcast people can be, and suddenly it's being illustrated very clearly and in a traditional way for a moment," the actress said.

According to Seehorn, there's a "sweetness" to Kim and Jimmy's relationship, and because of showrunners Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould's handling of the love story, it's also authentic. The genuine sweetness between the two is just one of the many different ways that Kim and Jimmy have of being with each other. They can just as easily have moments of real tenderness as they can fight and bicker.
"She does not love Jimmy in spite of him, she loves him all-inclusive of him," the actress revealed. "She knows who he is."
"But … there is another side of Kim that either enjoys it from the sidelines or has a backstory that involves that," she told THR. According to Seehorn, though she's unsure what side of Kim this is, the show will definitely be exploring it more and more this season.
Whether or not Kim will merely be revisiting an old behavior or discovering an uncomfortable new aspect of her personality remains to be seen.
"Better Call Saul" airs Mondays at 10 p.m. on AMC.
