In the 20/20 interview, airing Friday night, a usually private Beyoncé is expected to finally open up about her marriage and her controversial pregnancy.

For a brief moment Beyoncé's baby bump had threatened to overshadow her entire pregnancy. It all began in an interview she did earlier this year with Australian journalist Molly Meldrum.

A video of the interview shows an evidently pregnant Beyoncé sitting in her seat, but as she does her baby bump appears to deflate.

After going viral, the video attracted considerable media attention, leading some critics to question how legitimate the singer's pregnancy was.

Although a rep for Beyoncé immediately denied the rumors, many critics including talk show host Wendy Williams were not buying it.

The singer, real name Beyoncé Giselle Knowles, is one of the world's most photographed celebrities and has always been coy about her private life – until now.

Although Beyoncé had revealed her due date to be February, a recent video has suggested otherwise, sparking further rumors.

However, this time Beyoncé is remaining silent about her due date. She told Couric, "The truth is, it's safety," abcnews.com reported.

Fans are eager to know when the baby is due, but Beyoncé, 30, it not letting on.

She explained, "I just want to make sure I can have a peaceful day. And I want to make sure my child is protected."

The superstar, who is married to hip-hop mogul Jay-Z, seems unfazed by the rumors although she hinted that there is definitely a line that should not be crossed.

"There are certain things that are so far [out] ... it doesn't even upset you...Other rumors do take a toll," She said.

Beyoncé and husband Jay-Z, real name Shawn Corey Carter, are said to be ecstatic about expecting their first child.

Earlier this week fans were left furious after it was revealed the singer had been nominated for only two Grammy awards for the upcoming ceremony.
