Beyonce New 'Visual Album' Features Jay Z, Drake, Frank Ocean (PREVIEW)
Beyonce surprised fans on Thursday with the release of her self-titled fifth studio album and the singer accompanied each track with a music video.
The iconic pop star, 32, unexpectedly debuted her highly anticipated new project, described as a "visual album," on iTunes minutes before midnight without any promotion. It features 14 new songs and 17 music videos.
"Beyoncé" comes two and a half years after the release of her fourth studio album "4." The Grammy award-winning singer is believed to have worked with the likes of her husband Jay Z, Justin Timberlake, Timbaland, Drake, the Dream and Sia among others to produce the album.

"I didn't want to release my music the way I've done it. I am bored with that. I feel like I am able to speak directly to my fans," Beyonce said in a statement.
"There's so much that gets between the music, the artist and the fans. I felt like I didn't want anybody to give the message when my record is coming out," she continued. "I just want this to come out when it's ready and from me to my fans I just want to give my album to the people I love and respect and hope that they feel the same thing I felt when I made the music."
It appears as though Beyonce may have taken inspiration from her hip hop mogul husband who left fans in a frenzy on June 16 when he unexpectedly announced his twelfth studio album "Magna Carter Holy Grail" would be released July 4.
A video announcement aired during the NBA championship finals and immediately went viral on social networking sites. The Hollywood power couple have been fixtures in music for more than a decade.
"I see music. It's more than just what I hear," Beyonce said. "When I'm connected to something, I immediately see a visual or a series of images that are tied to a feeling or an emotion, a memory from my childhood, thoughts about life, my dreams or my fantasies. And they're all connected to the music."
