'Big Brother' Stars to Appear on 'The Bold and the Beautiful'

"Big Brother 15" star Howard Overby was evicted from the Big Brother house weeks ago but has landed a guest-starring role on his mother's favorite show, "The Bold and the Beautiful," which has made him incredibly happy. Several other "Big Brother" stars will drop in for the special episodes airing in late October.

"This is so exciting! A blessing!" Overby told TV Guide. "I got a call out of the blue from 'The Bold and the Beautiful' asking if I'd like to appear on the show. I said yes without knowing any of the particulars because I was raised in a house with a lot of females – my mom, my grandma and two older sisters – and everyone watched the CBS soaps."

Overby was loved by fans of "Big Brother" but was a target of racism in the house. Contestants Aaryn and GinaMarie made racist comments while in the house, and Howard was one of the targets. Instead of responding to the incendiary remarks, he turned to his faith and Bible for strength. Overby was one of the most religious persons in the house and shared that faith with his fellow contestants.

He noted that fellow "Big Brother" stars Rachel Reilly, Brendon Villegas, and Jeff Schroeder will appear during the same episodes. Rachel is infamous for her appearance and attitude on "Big Brother," and little sister Elissa has had the same struggle during this season of the same show.

"Rachel and Brendon and I bonded," Overby said. "We talked a lot about the racial tension on 'Big Brother' this season and how hard it was to watch. It was pretty shocking. Once I watched the show and got up to speed, I was angry. I felt like maybe I never had a real chance in the game, like I had to be perfect around a lot of imperfect people. I was very upset for a few days, but then it felt like a relief to be out of the house."

The women who made the racist and homophobic comments lost their jobs outside the Big Brother house. Overby noted that he was not happy they lost their jobs.

"I've been unemployed before, at one point for a very long time, and I don't want to see that to happen to anybody. We all make mistakes," he said.

You can catch the "Big Brother" stars on "The Bold and the Beautiful" on October 24 and 25 on CBS.
