Black Friday 2011: AT&T Will Offer Smartphones for One Penny

As retailers continue to reveal huge Black Friday deals, AT&T has announced they will be offering select smartphones for just a penny.

The deals will start online at midnight Nov. 26 and last through Cyber Monday.

AT&T Senior Vice President Phil Bienert said in a statement: “We’re proud to continue to offer incredible value and savings in this economy...we want to show our customers that we appreciate their loyalty – especially during the holiday season.”

On Nov. 26, all Windows 7 and certain Android devices will cost $0.01. On Sunday, the BlackBerry 9860 will be priced at $0.01 and the HTC Red Inspire will be on sale for $30.

Finally, on Cyber Monday, certain smartphones including the Motorola Atrix, HTC Inspire and Samsung Infuse will sell for $0.01

All of the phones must be bought with a two-year service plan. For smartphones, activation of AT&T voice is required.

Buyers must also purchase a minimum $15 monthly data plan and $20 messaging plan.

Electronics retailer Best Buy will also be offering huge savings of cell phones on the biggest shopping day of the year.

The Boost Mobile Samsung Transform Ultra is on sale for $114.99 with no contract. The HTC Droid Incredible 2 Mobile will be free with the purchase of a two-year contract with Verizon, and the HTC Wildfire S will go for $99.99 with no contract.

T-Mobile will offer a “buy 1, get 1 free” deal on select smartphones as well as discounted Android phones for new and existing customers signing up for a two-year family plan. The offer includes some of the newest smartphones like the T-Mobile G2, T-Mobile MyTouch 4G, HTC HD7, and the Samsung Galaxy Tab.

Verizon recently revealed a Black Friday deal where customers who purchase select smartphones on Nov. 26 would receive a Jawbone Icon Bluetooth headset free. The headset usually sells for $99.99.
