Black Friday 2011: Best Buy Launches Doorbuster Deals
With Black Friday less than two weeks away, competing retail stores are thinking of new ways to gain an advantage over each other, and Best Buy will unveil a brand new set of deals and offers for its customers today.
Best Buy Black Friday Doorbuster deals will be unveiled on the company’s official website, but those using social networking websites, like Facebook and Twitter, will also be the first to know about the promotions if they join Best Buy’s fan page.
The selection to be announced promises to include top offers on the latest electronics and home entertainment systems and accessories, according to Marketwatch.

"Black Friday has increasingly become an event, a ritual for so many. And this year, Black Friday doesn't start the day after Thanksgiving, it starts the minute after Thanksgiving,” said Brian Dunn, the CEO of Best Buy.
Dunn said Best Buy stores will offer a free big-screen viewing of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part” that will lead up to the midnight when the retail giant opens its doors. The movie, according to Best Buy’s official website was just released today on DVD, came out in theatres in June, and concludes the fantasy saga. It is sure to offer consumers an extra initiative to cut their Thanksgiving dinner early and get ready for a day-and night-of shopping for the holiday season.
About 120 stores nationwide will offer the Best Buy movie event, and consumers wanting to know which locations will screen the Harry Potter movie will need to check the store’s official website. Some stores will even lure customers with free snacks and refreshments for those who are already in line by 8 p.m.
Best Buy already revealed it will be offering free shipping, same-day store pickup and price matching to its customers during the 2011 Holiday shopping season, starting with Black Friday on Nov. 25.
