Black Friday 2011 Deals: Best Buy Offers Free Shipping for Holiday Season

Best Buy will ship any items purchased on its website free beginning Nov. 1 until two days after Christmas, according to announcement made by the company today.

“This holiday, we are offering free shipping on everything sold on BestBuy.com…everything,” said Barry Judge, Best Buy executive vice president and chief marketing officer. “Unlike some retailers, no minimum purchase will be required and free shipping will apply to the over 400000 items sold at BestBuy.com with no exceptions for the eight full weeks.”

The items include laptops, tablets, eReaders, TVs, gaming devices and software.

The retailer is also offering other benefits during the holiday season including same-day store pickup that allows customers to order online and pick up the item they ordered at a Best Buy location in just 45 minutes.

Consumers can even send their friends and family members to pick up their purchases. This makes it convenient to shop while at work or out-of-town. There is also an option to order items and have them shipped to a local store free.

“Consumers are looking for value, service and savings this year, and our goal is to provide them with convenient, creative and less costly ways to make the holiday shopping experience more enjoyable,” Judge said.

Best Buy is looking to make this season’s Holiday shopping as simple as possible.

“With our extensive free shipping options, in addition to our wide selection of must-have technology gifts, unmatched service and competitive pricing, we’re giving customers more ways to delight the people in their lives,” he added.

The company is also allowing customers to make exchanges or returns on gifts from Nov. 13 through Jan. 24.
