'Black Sails' Season 3 Premiere Spoilers: Series Stars Dish Out Behind-The-Scene Details
Fans of the hit dramatic adventure TV series from Starz, "Black Sails," are now looking forward to this week for its highly anticipated Season 3 premiere. But before the show returns to the high seas, some of the cast members sat down with the press people to dish out a handful of behind-the-scene details.
During the latest Television Critics Association winter press tour, series star Toby Stephens talked with DenOfGeek.us about the many aspects of the drama-at-sea. He confessed to the media outlet that before he got signed up to do the show, he wasn't really interested in the sea. However, his perspective towards the endeavor greatly changed when he accepted the role.
"I think I'm passionate about it now in that it's so much part of this job. It's so much part of the character," the actor who played the role of James McGraw/Flint said.

Deep into his role-playing, the English actor went on to share some of the experiences he got in making the upcoming season.
"Physically it's killer. The storm sequence was one which was grueling. That was weeks of doing that, piecing it together, because it's such an elaborate piece of filmmaking. But then also there's big set pieces throughout the whole thing," he further told the media outlet.
Entertainment Weekly, meanwhile, shared their conversation with actor Tom Hopper who essayed the part of Billy Bones. The actor also teased about the horrific hurricane event at sea which viewers should expect in Season 3. Hopper revealed how "completely gnarly" it was to make that particular scene which took them a whole single season to shoot.
Talking about the changes coming up in the new season, the 30-year-old disclosed to EW that aside from some major shakeup in the ranks, there would also be a lot of action among the characters.
"The crew gets very tested, loyalties get tested, and there's lots of swashbuckling and fight sequences. The fight scenes are really epic this year," he shared.
"Black Sails" Season 3 premieres with episode "XIX" this Saturday, Jan. 23 on Starz.
