Bottle Hits Singer: Vodka Bottle Hit Causes Laceration Needing 8-10 Stitches (VIDEO)
A bottle has hit a singer during a concert in Richmond on Saturday night, leading to the arrest of a teenager, according to reports.
Singer, Frederick "Toots" Hibbert, of the reggae band Toots and the Maytals, was singing in a concert at the Dominion Riverrock in Richmond Saturday when he was hit by a bottle thrown on stage by one of the attendees.
According to reports, 19 year old William C. Lewis has been charged with aggravated assault and public intoxication in relation to the incident.

Hibbert was reportedly hit on the forehead by the bottle and in the aftermath he was treated by medical staff for a laceration on his head.
According to police, the incident took place at about 10.15 p.m. local time on Saturday, and caused the concert to be halted for about 15 minutes as Hibbert received treatment and was checked over.
Hibbert's son, who is in fact a bass player in the same band, reported afterwards that his father had to receive eight to 10 stitches on his forehead. He explained that he had been hit by a vodka bottle that was thrown on stage by someone in the crowd.
Hibbert was taken to hospital to receive the stitches, and after being checked over was later released.
The vodka bottle that struck the singer is thought to have been stolen from the mixed beverage sales area and not brought in from outside the venue, according to Jack Berry, executive director of Venture Richmond, which produced the three-day music-and-sports event with Richmond Sports Backers.
According to the Richmond Times-Dispatch, Berry said, "Dominion Riverrock is a wonderful event for our community, but unfortunately this edition has been marred by the actions of one individual...This was one individual who committed a horrible act."
