'Bridget Jones' Spoilers: Renee Zelwegger's Character 43 and Still Single

After many years of waiting, "Bridget Jones" fans are excited to see Renee Zellweger take on the famous role once again.

It was previously announced that a third installment of the "Bridget Jones" series will soon be hitting theaters. The movie, called "Bridget Jones's Baby" will show her iconic character's life after several years since the events of the previous installment.

The trailer for the movie showed Zellweger's character hitting an obstacle once again in her chaotic life. While the previous installment showed Mark, played by Colin Firth, proposing to Bridget, it seemed as though the two did not get their happy ending. With that, Bridget is still single even though she is already in her 40's. Another big shock comes when she realizes that she is pregnant with either Mark or Jack's child.

According to Daily Mail, none of the cast members know who the father actually is. It was stated that the production filmed three different endings in order to surprise everyone on who the father is. Zellweger stated, "It's kind of brilliant. None of the cast knows who fathered Bridget's baby or who she'll choose as her beau. The plan is to keep us all in the dark, right up to the premiere."

However, it seems as though she was still able to keep her fashion forward look throughout these years. The character was seen sporting classy beach wear while at a festival. Unfortunately, she was also seen unable to maintain her composure when she falls into a big puddle of mud.

Zellweger also expressed her excitement about working on the movie, as well as seeing the return of Sharon Maguire, the film's director. She added, "I'm so happy. There's nothing better in the whole world than pulling off a silly stunt and hearing her laugh from behind the camera. I always feel that whenever I see her, that the character of Bridget is alive, existing somewhere right between the two of us."

"Bridget Jones's Baby" releases in theaters this Sept. 16.
