This will be the group's first tour since the stroke and death of Clarence Clemons, saxophonist, in June.

The "Working on a Dream" tour in 2009 was Springsteen's last tour.

Confirmed dates for England are:

June 21 in Sunderland
June 22 in Manchester
June 24 at the Isle of Wight festival
July 14 at Hard Rock Calling in London.

Springsteen, also known as "The Boss," had his musical breakthrough in the late 70s early 80s after several years of struggling in the industry.

Born to Run (1975) and Born in the U.S.A. (1984) are his two commercially most successful albums.

The E Street band has been Springsteen's primary band since 1972, taking a few breaks in between.

The band consists of:

Gary Tallent - Bass guitar and tuba
Roy Bittan - Piano and keyboards
Max Weinberg - drums
Patti Scialfa - backing vocals and acoustic guitar
Steven Van Zandt - lead and rhythm guitar
Nils Lofgren - rhythm and lead guitar

He has sold over 65 million albums in the U.S. and 120 million worldwide.

The Boss has 20 Grammy awards, two Golden globes, and an Oscar.

Springsteen was elected into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1999, the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1999, and the New Jersey Hall of Fame in 2007.
