Buffalo Bills Roster Rumors: Mario Williams Unhappy with Team; Reportedly Wants Out

The Buffalo Bills as a team are in disarray, with losses piling up as the season comes to a close. One of the most recent to come out and express frustration is defensive end Mario Williams, who, by the way, appears to be getting not enough sacks this season.

By the looks of it, the team's consecutive losses may already be taking its toll on Williams and there is already some talk of whether he still wants to be part of this team by next season. He is due to earn $19.9 million by next year, and the fact that he's not producing incredible numbers would mean that the team will have to force him to accept a pay cut.

Williams couldn't hide his disappointment with the team's defense. "If this is the turnout of our defense, how does the even sound right? You can change. People are afraid of change and so forth," he said.

This isn't the first time, though, that Williams voiced out his frustration. In October, he talked about how he's in disagreement with Rex Ryan's system, specifying that he would drop into coverage too much. He then followed it up recently by saying that no change has been made.

It is quite true that Ryan's defensive scheme is a lot more complicated than that in other teams in the league. It is difficult even for the best defensive guys. Nonetheless, it did produce results, and no one can deny that. Perhaps the main problem is the fact that players such as Williams have a hard time accepting more responsibilities in the system.

The issue may be more like a team having a really bad season in transition. Most of the time, changes in personnel and the roster could prove to be the only thing missing, but the thing is changes are usually done once the season is over.
