'Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3' Update: Patch 1.05 Lands On PS4
The day that fans have been waiting for has finally arrived. "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" gamers are now celebrating the arrival of the big update along with the arrival of the game's first DLC, "Awakening." According to PlayStation Lifestyle, patch 1.05 is now available on PS4 and, as expected, its size is 9.4 GB.
Segment Next detailed that all players will have to download the patch in order to get the purchased downloadable content. But there are some who are conscious with the hefty size and confused as to why they have to download the DLC even though they have not made any purchase.
Publisher Activision explained in their website that unlike how it was with the previous "Call of Duty" titles, the "Awakening" DLC for "Call of Duty: Black Ops III" has been bundled into the patch that was released on Monday. This leads to the fact that there is no manual download of the DLC pack available on PS4.

The gaming company also detailed the steps on how to access the DLC. First, players will need to launch "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" to trigger the patch and let the game update as normal. After the update is fully downloaded, Season Pass owners and players who have bought the expansion pack can start to activate the content through the in-game store.
To do so, they will only need to select 'Store' from the main menu and then select 'Map Packs.' After that, select "Awakening" DLC to activate the DLC pack. In case the patch and "Awakening" don't appear, players can try restarting the game or the system if it doesn't work at all.
Upon activation of the DLC, players now have access to the four new multiplayer maps as well as the first chapter of the adventure. As noted in Gamespot, the biggest multiplayer map is the Rise and it is located outside of Zurich during winter time.
"Awakening" DLC is exclusive to PS4, Xbox One and PC only.
