If there is one thing Carolina Panthers loyalists remember about All Pro linebacker Thomas Davis, it's the fact that he does not really get intimidated by injuries. He's been plagued with a lot of them in the regular season, including torn ligaments and broken fingers, but he always finds a way to get to the field in no time.
Now the Panthers are heading to the Super Bowl only for the second time in its history, Davis once again will need to face adversity after suffering a broken arm in their NFC championship game. The injury is specifically determined as a broken right forearm that needed surgery. So after getting under the knife, it sounds right for him to rest and miss the American football's biggest event. But not him; Davis vowed that he will be playing come February. "I believe in our training staff and I believe in the process," he said referring to the necessary procedures to be undertaken to prep him for Super Bowl 50. "If it is at all possible I know they are going to get me back," he added.
By looking at the remaining days left, it is actually possible for him to recover in time since the doctors said he only needs two weeks for it. They will be facing the Denver Broncos on Feb. 7, or barely three weeks from now.

Meanwhile, it was Panthers head coach Ron Rivera who officially confirmed that Davis has undergone surgery to fix the problem. Rivera credits the linebacker's conviction in the game and that it is the very reason why he's a highly touted player today.
He played all his years in American football for the Panthers, which suggests that he is thriving in the system of Rivera. Outside of football and the field, he also won the NFL Walter Payton Man of the Year Award last year for his charity contributions.
