Casey Anthony Refuses Visit From Cindy in Jail; Secret Exit Planned for Release

Cindy Anthony made a request to see her daughter in jail on Friday, only to be denied by Casey Anthony who was recently acquitted of murder on Tuesday.

According to Reuters, Cindy had scheduled a visit at the jail at 7 p.m. on Friday, but was refused.

“This morning under policy, Casey was told of the visit and she has declined the visit so it will not occur,” Allen Moore, the jail’s spokesman told Reuters.

This request marked the second by Cindy, who had previously wanted to see Casey before the start of the trial in May. She was rejected before as well.

Besides her lawyers, Casey has had no visitors ever since her jailhouse conversations were released to the public in 2008.

Though she was acquitted of first-degree murder, manslaughter, and child abuse for the death of her 2-year-old daughter Caylee Anthony, she was found guilty on four separate counts of lying to law enforcement.

She was sentenced to 4 years on Thursday, but due to time already served in jail and credit earned for good behavior, she will be released July 17.

With an outraged public within harm’s reach, Moore revealed that Casey would walk out of a secret exit upon her release for her protection.

“Due to the high profile nature of this case and intense, emotional interest by the public, appropriate measures will be taken to release the individual into the community in such a manner so as to preserve the safety of the individual and the public,” a statement by the Orange County Corrections Department said.

Death threats were reported to have already made its way to the Anthony family home following the verdict, purportedly forcing Cindy and George to go into hiding.

It is unknown whether Casey will go back to the family home, although it appears highly unlikely due to the nature of the case.

The defense portrayed the Anthony family as dysfunctional, and even accused George and Lee of sexual abuse.

Despite the alleged claims, Cindy and George still desire to welcome Casey home, as relayed by their family attorney, Mark Lippman.

But ex-fiance Jesse Grund recently told NBC’s Today that there was no way Casey would go back to the home.

“Cindy and Casey have had an adversarial relationship the entire time she has been alive. Being part of the family the way I was, there is no way Casey goes back to that home,” Grund said.

Moore announced that Casey was not sentenced to probation and that there was no need for her to provide a physical address to the jail. Regardless, it seems as though wherever the 25-year-old decides to settle, she would never go unknown or escape the public eye.
