Casey Anthony Finally Seeking Counseling?

Casey Anthony is now seeking counseling, according to People magazine. Anthony, who was acquitted of killing her daughter Caylee in July, was looking to seek counseling after she was released from prison according to her attorney Jose Baez.

A source close to Anthony told People that she made good on her promise recently to seek help for her bizarre and possibly dangerous behavior that possibly cost her the life of Caylee.

“She needs serious help," the source told People. "We'll see what this counseling will do."

Anthony will reportedly see a female grief counselor in Florida, while serving out her probation stemming from a check-fraud case. Aside from her mandatory probation, Anthony was also recently ordered to pay an estimated $100,000 for investigation costs when law enforcement agencies were searching for her missing daughter.

The Florida judge mandated that Anthony pay the investigators after she lied about crucial details surrounding Caylee’s disappearance. As a result, Anthony was convicted of four misdemeanor counts stemming from her lies.

Anthony told police that Caylee was kidnapped by a nanny after she was reported missing in 2008. However, the nanny was later found to be non-existent. During her murder trial, Anthony’s lawyers relayed the trouble mother’s message that revealed Caylee had drowned in the pool of her parents, George and Cindy.

Cindy said she is worried about the mental health of her daughter, who has suffered from seizures in the past, according to an interview with Dr. Phil.

“I don’t know why she’s having a seizure,’’ Cindy told Dr. Phil “Does she have a brain tumor? Were the seizures caused by stress? I don’t know what happened, and that’s what I want to find out down the road.’’

According to Cindy, Casey could also be suffering from lasting post-partum depression effects.

“Looking back now, I’m almost wondering if she didn’t develop post-partum schizophrenia or some type of issue after her pregnancy,’’ Cindy said.
