Casey Wilson Married, Actress Finally Gets Her 'Happy Ending'

Casey Wilson has finally gotten her "happy ending" by marrying her fiancé David Caspe in California. The actress met Caspe when she auditioned for the now-cancelled series "Happy Endings," as Caspe was the show's creator. They kept their engagement largely under wraps but are now sharing their joy after the wedding.

"I had never met such an attractive writer," Wilson said of Caspe. "We hit it off right away. I liked him the whole time because he is the most kind, genuine and funny person I have ever met," Wilson told The New York Times. "But David felt it was not a good idea to get involved with the actresses."

Even though they met in 2010, they did not begin officially dating until 2011. Unlike their relationship, "Happy Endings" ended in 2013. Wilson played the happy-go-lucky, and desperate for love, Penny. Wilson and Caspe are currently developing a new series based on their relationship, entitled "Marry Me."

"It's about a very emotional woman dating a very even-keeled guy," Wilson explained.

It sounds like a continuation of Penny's story, when in reality, it's an exaggeration of Wilson's personality.

"David and I couldn't have been more excited to celebrate our special day with all of our closest friends and family," Wilson said in a statement to Us Weekly. "Oprah, sadly, was a no show. (Probably because we've never met. Maybe next time?)" she jested.

Comedian Whitney Cummings, however, was a guest of the couple and managed to capture an incredible image of them walking away from the ceremony, which was performed by Wilson's brother. Wilson's co-stars from "Happy Endings," Elisha Cuthbert, Eliza Coupe, Adam Pally, Zachary Knighton, Damon Wayans Jr. and Abby Elliot all attended as well.

The two exchanged nuptials outside, under a chuppah, in a traditional Jewish ceremony. Wilson is in the process of converting to Judaism. They are now honeymooning in Italy.

"Marry Me" will air on NBC this fall.
